COVID-19 Update

31 March 2020 Update

Hello Ekklesia!

I want to take a moment to reach out and update everyone on what to expect during this troubling time. The Executive Committee met and we have decided to cancel all nonessential ministries until further notice. This includes Sunday School, Men’s and Women’s bible studies, and Collide youth ministry. All events have been placed on hold and will be rescheduled if possible.

Throughout this time we continue to be committed to meeting the needs of our congregation and the local community. Our goal is to stay connected with as many people as we possibly can. Because of this desire, our deacons are working on ways to personally connect with many of you during this time.

WE WANT TO BE PRAYING FOR YOU! Please let us know your prayer requests and needs so that we can be supporting you through prayer. Contact the church office by phone, email, or Facebook and we will pray for you.

Sunday’s 10:30am worship service will be live streamed on Facebook. If you wish to participate with us live, please visit our Facebook page Sunday at 10:30am. At the end of the service we will upload the entirety to our church website and you may watch any time. We encourage everyone who can to enjoy our services online. However, we understand not everyone may want to connect with us online so our doors will remain open to you and any who desire to come. We do ask those experiencing symptoms, are in an at-risk category, or are in close contact with anyone at risk to please remain home. But again, please make us aware of any concerns so we may be in prayer for you.

Our Food Pantry and Clothing Pantry will continue to offer their services as able. Anyone who attends or lives within 10 miles of the church building (areas include Bluffton, Ada, Beaverdam, Lafayette, Harrod, and Alger) is welcome to come. Pantries are open each Tuesday from 10am-1pm with curbside service. Please contact the church office for more information.

Moving forward we ask each of you to be in prayer for each other, our communities, and leaders. Please ask the Lord to bring each wisdom and safety. Each night there is a Call to Prayer at 9pm. We ask you to pause for 5 minutes and join with us to pray. We are praying for no new cases of the COVID-19 virus and miraculous healing for those who are already infected. As we well know, if we humble ourselves, seek the face of God, and ask for forgiveness, then He will heal our land. May we go boldly before God, seeking His guidance and deliverance during this time.

Thank you for being a part of our body of believers! I love you all and look forward to God working in our lives in the days ahead.
